We interrupt our regular programming, part 24...

More from yesterday. Hopefully our internet connectivity will stop flaking.

Alice,
I lived in Boston for a while, and during the Boston Marathon, the motorcycle cops could "backfire" the bikes at will, so they could keep the crowds back by going "boom" at will. Does Denver PO do that?
Your Pict of the MC cops reminded me of that.

They weren't doing it regularly, if at all. I know the rubber bullet guns would pop to release pressure if they got too hot, and I would guess that the police officers were able to do it at will, because there were a couple of times that the timing seemed too convenient when it happened.

Gah, can't even write coherent sentences anymore.

It was quite effective, you could hear the "bangs" as they were coming closer to you, but when they were close the "bang" (bigger than a fire cracker, but smaller than...what?) Would keep people back (on the sidewalk and off the street)

There weren't really any problems with protesters being where they weren't supposed to be after Monday. Everything was pretty mellow. I halfway expected something to happen at the parade that marched to Invesco Field today, but I think the protesters were too stoned by the time they got there to do much - even the chanting had mostly stopped.
